AI AND ROBOTICS

Robotics is a domain in artificial intelligence that deals with the study of creating intelligent and efficient robots.

What is AI?

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a wide-ranging branch of computer science concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence.

AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches, but advancements in machine learning and deep learning are creating a paradigm shift in virtually every sector of the tech industry.

What is Robotics?

robotics

Robotics is the intersection of science, engineering and technology that produces machines, called robots, that substitute for (or replicate) human actions. These over-exaggerated, humanoid concepts of robots usually seem like a caricature of the real thing.

How AI is used in Robotics?

Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are a powerful combination for automating tasks inside and outside of the factory setting. In recent years, AI has become an increasingly common presence in robotic solutions, introducing flexibility and learning capabilities in previously rigid applications.

While AI is still in its nascent stages, it’s been a transformative technology for some applications in the manufacturing sector, although there are many that have yet to feel the impact.

However, many of these software robotics systems are limited in their ability and are not able to communicate with other systems or robots to carry out these tasks. With the addition of AI, robots and cobots can improve their communication and handle even more complex tasks without the normal risk associated with simpler bots.

How AI is helping Robotics to grow?

AI in robotics gives flexibility in processes and enables the robots with learning capabilities in various applications. AI in robotics helps the robots to learn the processes and perform the tasks with complete autonomy, without any human intervention. These benefits are expected to augment the market growth.

SUMMARY

At last we can say that, Artificial Intelligence gives robots a computer vision to navigate, sense and calculate their reaction accordingly. Robots learn to perform their tasks from humans through machine learning which again is a part of computer programming and AI.
